The hot springs have been cranked up to a piping steaming mess. The water is warm and the smell of sulphur is in the air.

Natural bubbles are forming on the water, as people are visiting once more.

That's right, it's time. For a hot springs visit in the middle of winter!

It's not OUR Aqua's town, but the crazy Goddess that they worship, Goddess Aqua. She's a lunatic that has a cult that tries all sorts of weirdo tricks in order to recruit followers.

Most sane people follow her junior, Eris. Goddess of Wealth and Fortune.

Do you guys bump into any cult wars? Having two Goddesses around sounds like it would be a hassle with two people ruling.

Bluh, no, I didn't. But I feel like any longer in that town, and Darkness would have started something. She's a devout follower of Eris and they really did not like her.

And then Aqua purified their hot springs which were tainted by a Demon General mind you, so they were even MORE pissed at us. Do one good deed and the town turns against you.

Eh? That doesn't sound fair... It's too bad everyone can't get along. There always has to be differences over one or two things.

Not much of a religion though to be honest, Aqua's sect. It's more of a cult than it is a actual religion. Even if the church allows it.

It was terrifying. I got sent into the future where I discovered that I achieved my dream. For the longest time, I wanted to become the greatest and most beloved overlord...

But it was at the cost of hurting a lot of people. I was ruling over half of the world's population and responsible for wreaking a ton of it too. I thought defeating myself would change that future, but I couldn't win. Oma Zi-O... I was way too powerful.

Kind of a sobering thought. Is... there an actual way to change things? Like, for the better? To become the most beloved overlord like you want to become?

I figured that not being a Kamen Rider anymore would do the trick. But I can't overlook innocent people getting hurt... That involves my friends too. That's the biggest difference between future me and myself right now.

The only way I know is to keep having faith in myself to become a beloved overlord and not end up like my future self. And I've got Geiz and Tsukiyomi who can slap some sense into me if they see I'm becoming more like that.

Huh. Well, you have me, and Darkness. Kazuma's here too, and even Aqua, if she stops being useless.

Thanks Megumin. Maybe future me didn't have a lot of friends to support him that made him end up the way he was.

[Even Woz was more like a servant than a friend. Oma Zi-O seemed to be an existence who was beyond morals and friendship. Sougo was in good spirits to joke a little about it now.]

We'll have to see one of these days if you're up to standing up to an Explosion. Darkness can stand up to one of those, so like.. y'know, you'll have to surpass her.

Though Darkness seems to be in a league of her own. Even Geiz managed to give her a compliment... He barely cracks a smile around me!

Darkness is pretty much one of a kind. You're going to have to withstand a lot more punishment if you're going to stand up to her weight class.

Geiz though, he could probably learn at thing or two. Hasn't he been smiling a little more lately?

I think hanging out with Kazuma has done him some good! He's gotten a bit more friendly... But I don't think he's ever had a guy friend to vent around, you know?

Before meeting me, um... Not the bad future me... This me... Tsukiyomi told me that they never had much down time in the future.

Kazuma hasn't had many friends, period. So this is good for him too.
