Anri's Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Day

The feed switches on to reveal Anri, looking disarrayed and slightly rumpled with a dismayed expression on her face.

"Izuku? I won't be able to make it to our date."

A slight pause as she reaches up to brush back her hair, showing that her hand is lightly burned.

"Also there's some kind of fire villain near your school, so please stay safe. He's a big brutish thug that was roasting everything and it looked like he had a lot of minions, too."

In completely unrelated news, anyone checking the #herosighting hashtag in Izuku's world will find that the current #1 Hero, Endeavor, was fought to a standstill today by a new villain nobody recognizes, a young woman that could control shadows and instilled fear by her very presence.

Absolutely, completely unrelated to the minor burns Anri's suffered or the light coating of ash on her dress.

"Oh no, what happened? Should I call the teachers right away?"

"Are you okay? Do you need medical attention? I'll bring the medical kit right away!"

"I was waiting for you on the bench and people started yelling at me and then the next thing I knew a very large man was attacking me with fire."

A pause to consider.

"Also I think the part of my Quirk that lets me regulate my gravity has gotten stronger thanks to Ochako? I can make anything covered in my shadows heavier now and that's how I managed to escape."

"I'll be right there. Also, hurrah for getting more gravity? I think Uraraka's Quirk intermixed with yours and caused your Gem to gain a new power.

If that's how it works, I think? I looked some things up on the Duck. I'll be right there with the first aid kit."

"Oh...thank you."

Anri won't really think about the first half of that, because that kind of thing isn't her strong point like Izuku's. As far as she's concerned: Ochako can make gravity, and now she can make gravity, so obviously this is because she is friends with Ochako.

After what happened to him, Quirks intermixing with Gems isn't even a surprise at this point.

And he arrives soon, carrying the pack and a few snacks. "Anri?"

"Over here."

Anri's sitting in a chair - well, Skull Throne - wincing just a bit as she waves hello to Izuku.

"Oh my gosh you're hurt badly," he exclaimed, running over and opening it. "Are you okay? You look battered."

He took her hand in his and started to examine it gently. "Did you get burned?"

"Just a little. I threw up a bunch of shadows as shields, but his fire was very hot."

"Here, I think there's some burn medication in the kit..."

Tending to her hands, he started working on her fingers, making sure they were clean before swabbing them out. "Okay, nothing's in there, no dirt. I'm going to bandage them up."

Anri focuses very closely on Izuku's scarred hands cradling hers.

She's not saying much, but she is as red as a tomato.

Izuku's blushing a little red too, this is the first time he's paid close attention to Anri's hands and he's making sure she won't scar. Soon, he tightens the bandage and says, "There, perfect. It'll heal up. If we need to, we'll go talk to the nurse."

Anri considers something.

"...I know you wanted to see that movie, but maybe...we could go to Amelie's world instead?"

She looks at the bandage.

"In a few days, when I'm better?"

"O-oh, of course!" Exclaimed Izuku, snapped out of the trance for a moment of holding her hand. "Please, we could find something to do in Amelie's world. Maybe we could go to her hometown and just visit the area. Or maybe go shopping in one of the smaller cities."

"A villain close to UA?

I'd say that's a bad place to try and attack but it's happened before..."

Nod nod.

"He seemed very confident he could get away with it, so he's probably very dangerous. Please be careful, I don't want any of you to get hurt."

"The teachers would probably want us to let them handle it..."

Buuut she can't very well just hang back and let the others get in trouble without her...again so she's already making her way to a window to try and see if she can spot the smoke.

"How many were there do you think?"

"Most of them were just standing back and cheering him on, but there were a lot of them...maybe a couple dozen?"

"Kero..."

She hates to think she's being a coward but it sounds like it would be best just to get eyes on the situation and wait for more heroes. Especially after she reads what happened to Endeavor. So in the meantime...

"You and Midoriya were going on a date?"

Anri's blush really stands out on her pale skin.

"We were...going to watch a movie together..."

Well that makes two of you. Tsu's round cheeks are getting darker with blush the more she thinks about it.

"I...don't think we've met.

Do you go to a different hero school?"

Blink blink.

"Oh, no, I met Izuku when we got teleported to a strange island. I went to a normal high school, but I had to drop out due to family matters in my second year."

'Family matters' being a polite euphemism in this case.*

How to best phrase this next question as she nears the sight of the supposed villain attack..

"Does Uraraka know?"

Nailed it.

"Yes. Ochako's my friend."

Every time you're in the same room with her you hold her hand, Anri.

Not what she was expecting! This girl is really something surprising.

"Good...good. That's...actually very nice to hear."

This is one of those days where she wishes she had the other students to over react and ask a million questions because she is floundering. Her social skills need more skill points.

"I'm sorry we haven't met before. I'm Tsuyu Asui. Also her friend. And Midoryia's."

Nod nod.

"It's nice to meet you. I'm Yasuzato Anri."

...oh, right, she did have a family name, didn't she?
