Welcome to Nekoya, the Resturant to Another World! Here, people come from all sorts of worlds, walks of life, and other places in general. Lay down your sword and shield, put up your bow, rest your rifle at the door. Here, it is meant for food, good living.

The Restaurant to Another World is set in the series of the same name. It is a light hearted storytelling series, based around people from another world passing through William's Door, a constant in each and every world. It aims to serve the highest quality food, and please, order from it's western-style menu.

It's a very weird thing when Riku runs into another Ultra he knows in their human form. His senses are definitely more perceptive than a normal human's, but they're not quite as sharp as a normal Ultra's. But he knows what it feels like, now, when he sees someone who looks human but really isn't. And he most certainly knows what his closest friends feel like.

So when he sees someone who is clearly not Leito at this restaurant, he's going to stare, blink, and look around. Because he's sure he senses Zero, but he doesn't see anyone familiar.

Zero, who had been stuffing his face with food that was clearly just as good but not as good as Lumina's looked up at Riku's entrance. He had sensed Riku's presence moments before he entered the dimensional door and he raised a hand.

"Hey, Riku," he called out since he was sitting close to the door. "What's up? It's me, Zero."

Okay, yes, he was definitely right. But...all of this just doesn't feel right.

"Zero? Did you take on another host?"

Forgive him if he sounds a little accusatory, but he's not ready to accept any other Zero host besides Leito. And besides, Gai is the only other humanoid Ultra he knows besides himself, so he is very not used to this.

Riku's weird little family is very precious to him, and given how many things have shaken it up, he's not ready for any other changes.

"Hmm? No, nothing of the sort. I just changed form. Sometimes we Ultras do that, take on a human form to mingle with other people. I don't do it often, if ever. But this is a place where I'd rather look mostly human."

He gestured for Riku to sit down. "Sit down, and stop gawping you're attracting flies. Get something to eat too, I recommend the beef."

"Wait, you can..."

The fact that Zero tells him to sit down finally sinks in, and he drops into the chair, leaning in and whispering, "You mean we can change forms?!"

He's...really not sure how he feels about this, but it's kind of sort of cool? Even if he likes the way he is.

"When you get older you can do it," assured Zero. "Although I'm not too sure if you can but I'm sure you can."

"I mean, if you're fine with how you look, then why change perfection?"

That is not actually helping. None of it.

It's not that Riku's particularly insecure, but he does get defensive, and he's glaring just a bit there. At least Zero is a friend.

"Oi Riku, don't worry you don't need to do it. This is for like, blending in when you're a 60 foot giant of light," assured Zero. "Seriously I wouldn't be able to fit into the building if I wasn't small. As much as I don't like being small."

"Small?" Okay, well, yeah, maybe. To someone who's used to being that big all the time, being human height is probably unbearably tiny. But Riku's fairly tall, towering over Laiha. Moa's only close to him in heels. It's hard to tell against Leito, since he has a tendency to shrink in on himself, but now that he thinks about it, whenever Zero was in control, he did lean in a lot, making it harder for Riku to tell.

He sits up straighter, trying to measure between them. How tall is Zero anyway? Because if Riku's right, he's taller in Ultra form. So does the same hold true now, or did Zero just try to make himself taller as a human?

"Yeah, considering that I usually don't get small, this is sort of a special occasion for me." said Zero. He was definitely regular height, almost as tall as Leito was, but not overly so.

Closer to Riku's height really, revealing that the two were mostly similar in height than anything else.

Riku's still kinda side-eyeing that. Just want to be sure. Because logically speaking, shouldn't he still be taller than Zero? Anything else would be cheating.

"Yeah, I wanted to get in for the soup today," said Zero, gesturing to the pork soup that was here in front of him. "It's just as good as Luminas, not quite but it's just as good."

And he hadn't thought anyone else would be in the building so he hadn't made himself taller than anyone else in the building to sate his ego.

Riku can feel a teensy bit satisfied that he's taller. Not that he wouldn't have if it had turned out Zero was cheating, but still.

"Really? Maybe I should get it..."

After all, he has the money. Laiha gave him some for...uh...what was it again?

"You should, it's pretty good." said Zero. "I recommend pretty much everything on the menu here."

Not that Zero would encourage spending all of the money he had.

He should probably order something now. In about ten minutes, Rem will clue Laiha in about him being unsupervised again with money, and she'll drag him out at swordpoint.
