Mingle - Monster High Valentines Dance

Welcome to Monster High’s first Valentine’s Open House!

With the news that their World had become connected to the outside world, the Ghouls had been expecting the newcomers. Changed by magic, or coming as themselves to protect the World Order, these newcomers are coming for the dance.

Draculaura welcomes the newcomers with a warm smile, as Frankiestein, Cleo de Nile, Lagoona Blue, Clawdeen Wolf and Fangelica VanBat are leading up the festivities as the staff are milling about.

At the turn of the hour, the principal Dracula taps a microphone. “Thank you for coming, Monsters, Normies, and World Hopping friends. This is a momentous occasion, one that would mark a new time for cooperation for our people. One can hope that we are going to have a better understanding of our friends from across the Worlds.”

Stepping aside, Draculaura took up the microphone. “And now, let’s get the party started! Let me introduce our guest of the evening, returning celeb Ari Hauntngton!”

As soon as the tray's down, Amelie swoops in and wraps both arms and several tails around Apple, spinning her around in a hug before placing a kiss on the side of her neck.

"Je t'aime, je t'aime, je t'aime..."

Remember that sleepover at Waverly Bay? Amelie sure does.

"Ah oui, I remember the night we were together for the first time with our friends," said Apple with a giggle. "That was amazing fun."

She grinned, hugging her as she leaned into the motion. "What a year or three it's been."

Amelie moves a little so she’s face-to-face with her wife and presses another kiss to her neck.

“May I have this dance?”

She punctuates the sentence with a series of kisses - left cheek, right cheek, mouth.

"But of course," replied Apple, replying in kind as she takes Amelie's hand in hers and she moves them out to the dance floor.

Bowing elegantly, she starts in on a elegant dance to the romantic music that was starting in, thanks to the DJ.

As Amelie moves in rhythm with Apple, her Gem starts to glow, her ears and tails vanishing to be replaced by a pair of small horns and furry, goat-like legs studded with green leaves - her 'Faun' morph, based on a Skiddo. Taking Apple's hand, she twirls her around, each strike of her hooves against the floor creating large, trumpet-shaped pink and white flowers, which someone familiar with botany could identify as Apple Blossom Amaryllis.

Drawing on the themes of botany, a large apple tree bloomed into view as roses and hedges bloomed everywhere from the illusion set up from Apple's Gem. While transforming was not her major skill, her ability to draw from her friends was her strength and she drew imagery from her own fairy tale and Briar's, casting a delicate shadow of rose petals everywhere as she waltzed with Amelie.

Roses, is it? Amelie can work with that...

Breaking away, Amelie spins on one hoof, a pink rose forming around her as she pirouettes. As it explodes in a flurry of petals, it reveals Amelie, wearing her Lilligant-inspired 'Dryad' morph - her legs replaced with a tulip-like arrangement of leaves, and a red flower with spotted petals and golden filaments resembling a crown on her head. She pirouettes back into Apple's arms and simultaneously casts a pair of spells - one a simple illusion of apple blossoms floating down from the ceiling to interlock with the amaryllis, and the other the one she learned from Mirai, to render them both weightless. She takes the lead in the dance, waltzing with Apple until they're halfway between the floor and the ceiling.

Apple moves in time with the dancing and the illusions, as well as Amelie's morphs, keeping time with the growing need to change the illusionary motifs on the go. She wasn't as practiced but a quick burst of Mummy powers and they spread sparkling bandages into a delicate web of ribbons, before a gentle net was produced. A virtual spiders web of gentle silk so to speak, as they lighted gently atop them, tiptoeing across the cascade of ribbons and bandages.

Amelie leans in close to Apple and whispers in her ear, because this last one very much needs some warning.

"Mermaid, my love."

Her Gem glows as she spreads her illusory power out over the entire room, turning everything below Apple's web into the surface of a tropical sea. Spinning away, Amelie deliberately falls backwards into one of her hoops, bursting out of another a few moments later in her favorite Milotic-themed 'Mermaid' morph, accompanied by a spray of illusory water as if she'd just breached the surface. As she floats sinuously over to Apple, she spreads her illusion even farther, so that the entire room appears to be inside a tropical coral reef. A small gesture, and a spark of light that trails sparkles beneath it spirals up around Apple, hiding her long enough to complete her own mermaid-morph.

Fortunately Apple was prepared. With the floating charms set up, and the way that the false webbing was set, she adjusted the shimmer of the bandages to become transparent as they become a invisible net for them to "swim" across. Hooking one across her self and Amelie, she smiled, dancing along in a swimming motion as she drew on illusions of dancing fish and music playing Jamaican Crab Bands.

As they spiral around each other, Amelie gives into temptation and dips Apple backwards for a kiss, winding her tail around her protectively.

There's a slight tugging sensation as Amelie lets down the last barrier and starts to dissolve into light.

Apple, too, dissolves into light as the pair merges and reforms into Ruby, the tall, four-armed experience standing proudly with a gleeful laugh as she spirals around, laughing happily at the rush of emotions.

Ruby allows Amelie's underwater illusion to vanish into rising bubbles as she summons the Warriors Three and begins a complicated, four-way dance with them. It involves spins and stomps and as she pirouettes, she keeps time by clapping her lower hands.

As she dances, she raises her upper arms into the air, auroral lights trailing behind her. As she makes another spin, there's a flourish of the lights and she's suddenly wearing the aurora over her head, fashioned into something very like a wedding veil.

The dance is remarkable, as Ruby spins with a flourish, the veil flaring out and leaving a glittering trail as it whirls about from her head. She laughs happily as the Warriors Three continue to dance and come to a crashing finish, the three of them dancing the night away.
