01 - Derplander - Eorzea - FFXIV 1.x - Before Meteorfall
[The scene is in a tavern somewhere, some sort of watering hole as a the young man who had introduced himself to Asuna returned with a stack of multicolored plates in his hands. The crowd was noisy as the camera followed him, as a young voice caught the camera's attention.]
How long must we wait? [asked a Miqo'te woman as a Elezen man spread a map.]
[The pair bantered before he set down the stacks of levequests. Picking up one, the Elezen man said something but it was drowned out in a rush of air as the world grew indistinct...
And the world changed around him.
In an instant, to see it through his eyes, the party was different. A Roegadyn Marauder, a Lalafell Conjurer, his hand, clutching the bow he had purchased but it was worn and well used, and a Elezen thaumaturge of sorts. A malboro striking out.
And then... darkness, and waking up.
Waking up to fire and ash, the roar of machina, and the thunderous roar of Garlean weaponry. The cries of the Lord of the Lake. Ethereal beings erupting free from their prison and then...]
So nice of you to join us again! said the Miqo'te.
Well? Don't keep us in suspense! said the Elezen.
... this one. We'll start with this one. [said the Midlander, placing the levequest down onto the table.]
Let's give the bards something to sing about! exclaimed the Miqo'te as the Midlander picked up his equipment, and he strode out, but he cast one uneasy look over his shoulder at the camera which blinked, silently recording, ever following.
