01 - Peni Parker - Spider-Verse

So I read through all of this..., hi fellow Spider-world people! And I have to wonder.

How are you all not GLITCHING?

I was glitching when I went to Miles world and it HURT. A lot.

Oh this is Peni Parker. I guess... I'm SP//DR.

Konnichiwa!

I was bitten by a radioactive spider who lives inside my father's robot and now I have a psychic bond with it.

What's your origin stories everyone?

[Somewhere, Tony Stark just reached for the Malt Whiskey.]

Moon immediately grabs one of the chocolate ones, smiling.

"Hey, wanna see something cool?"

She holds the still-wrapped candy with one hand as she considers what she's about to do. Reaching out with her other hand, she pulls the chocolate out without affecting the wrapper at all.

"Neat, right?"

"Oh cool, that's your phasing ability right?" said Peni. "I hadn't seen something like that for myself. Miles could camouflage himself but nothing like that."

[moonoveralola]

Nod nod.

"Uh-huh! I thought it'd be more fun to do it this way instead of just sticking my hand through your arm or something!"

A pause as she swallows the candy.

"You wanna go meet an alien?"

"Do I?"

Moon you read her mind.

"Sure let's go!"

[moonoveralola]

"Okay, so we just gotta get to that tree! Oh, here, hold this!"

As Moon is walking over the vines that connect the tree they're on to a tree holding a different pose, she tosses a softball-sized sphere to Peni. It's dark blue with a grid of neon blue lines and four yellow ridges.

Peni catches it, tucks it into her pouch and fires a webline and swings on over with ease. There's a benefit to having all of the Spider-powers and she sticks onto the side of the tres. "Did you need a lift?" She called out to Moon.

[moonoveralola]

Moon shakes her head 'no' as she just confidently strides across the vine with perfect balance.

"I do this a lot!"

As she reaches the tree, she faces the volcano in the distance and strikes a bodybuilding pose.

The volcano erupts.

Peni shields her eyes at the eruption and the light thrown off the eruption. "Should... we be this close to it?" she asked a little nervously.

[moonoveralola]

"Yeah, it's cool, he's just bursting out of the lava, I guess?"

The 'he' in question is the alien you're meeting, Peni!

LOOK AT THOSE MUSCLES.

There's a silent flex-off between the giant musclebug and Moon for a few moments.

That's a giant mosquito.

For all intents and purposes...

A. Peni is glad that she was never bitten by him.

And B. She is kind of feeling like she wanted to arm wrestle it.

So she walks up, waves, and flexes in greeting since it seemed to be the polite thing to do.

[moonoveralola]

The musclebug looks very happy at Peni's flexing.

"I'm still not 100% on what that pose means! You either told him he's doing a good job or you're his girlfriend now!"

[lucky_peni]

Peni turned a bright red for a moment. "Oh... oh well um..."

She looked at the giant swole mosquito and said, "You're welcome?"

She held up the ball. "So what do I do with this? Just throw it?"

[moonoveralola]

The Buzzwole just reaches over and taps the button on the front of the Beast Ball and is sucked inside in a flash of white light. Moon grins.

"Mass Displacement tech, neat!" Exclaimed Peni as she tucked it into her bag. "So what now? Do I just... keep him? What do I feed him other than the blood of my enemies?"

[moonoveralola]

"Beans! Here, I have a few you can have..."

Moon digs through her bag and pulls out a little pouch, tossing it to Peni.

"If you talk to Miss Amelie she can get you some Pokepuffs to feed him too!"

[lucky_peni]

Peni caught the beans and inspected them for a moment before nodding. "Neat! I'll keep them in mind. I guess there's all sorts of cool stuff out there."

"So like, is he like the leader of this muscle world or something?"

[moonoveralola]

"Nah, I already have the leader! He's a promising up-and-comer with a lot to prove, though!"

"Well I hope he likes fighting cause I fight crime in my world in a mech suit," replied Peni with a satisfied nod.

[moonoveralola]

Moon steps forward, places both hands on Peni's shoulders, and looks her dead in the eyes.

"Peni. Everyone likes fighting."

[lucky_peni]

"Oh. Oh good, then we're sorted. I'll take him home then and I'll get him sorted out." Said Peni with a grin.

"Can't wait to introduce him to Miles and the others."
