Virus! - First Day of Spring Rain

>>> Virus Incoming: Spring Rain
With the sudden downpour, the heavens opened up.
Even though it's March through most of the Duck, the day of Spring March 20th, the heavens opened up! All across the Duck, it began to rain. The intensity of the Rain however, depended on where you were, and won't let up until late into the afternoon.
But go ahead, visit with friends, have fun in the rain. Maybe huddle inside if it's a Monsoon if you're in a tropical area.
>>> intensity
1. DRIZZLE ☂ It’s not too heavy or too light of a downpour, just enough to wash away stuff in the air, water the ground, and clean up the streets.
2. MONSOON ☂ It’s horrible and awful! Rain is coming down in buckets, no one can get anywhere, the wind is whipping everything about, and now the cable is out.
3. SHOWER ☂ Reminds you of early spring, doesn’t it? A nice shower to make everything all green and smell fresh again. Lovely.
4. FLOOD ☂ While rain is good, it can sometimes be bad. Grab a boat!
5. CATS & DOGS ☂ You’re lucky with this one. It’s not the worst storm in the world, but it’s still pretty heavy. Be careful when driving!
>>>> prompts
1. A DARK, STORMY NIGHT ☂ You know all those stories that start off with a stormy night before something goes wrong: a murder, an attack by ninjas, a crime. It is one of the best known clichés in the world, and you’re stuck in the middle of it.
2. HUMIDITY ☂ It’s that time of the year again when the humidity rises and the rain has two options: make it worse or make it go away. Good luck getting the latter.
3. GRAY RAIN OF DEPRESSION ☂ We all know this one. Stuck in the middle of no where, or right after an argument, or something that leads to angst, the rain decides to express someone’s feelings in a physical form, serious or over the top.
4. QUIET MORNING ☂ Nothing to do, nowhere to be… sometimes the rain is a welcomed addition to a quiet day. Gives you an excuse to stay in, curl up in a warm blanket and a book, maybe a loved one or a cup of hot chocolate. With sprinkles.
5. PUDDLES ☂ After it rains, what is the number one thing you have to do? Go put on some rubber boots and splash around of course!
6. SUDDEN STORM ☂ It might have been predicted, but sometimes storms just sweep in and do their thing with little to no warning. Hope you’re not outside.
7. THUNDER & LIGHTNING ☂ Loud, surprising, scary, ominous, comforting, fantastic to watch or listen to… some like thunder and lightning, others not so much. Of course, if this happens before a big confrontation, the universe is telling you something.
8. CAN’T GET WORSE ☂ You did not say that. You did not just say that. How many times does this need to be seen in movies and books before anyone learns?
9. STUCK ☂ No, no, no, no. This cannot be happening. What happened to the ten percent chance of rain? You forgot your umbrella and now you’re stuck in it!
10. RUINED PLANS ☂ You had all these wonderful plans to go outside, have some fun in the sunshine, do some errands, maybe a date… and the weather goes against them.
11. DANCING ☂ Sometimes rain is a cause for celebration, or you just feel like doing something spontaneous. Grab someone to join you and get wet!
12. RAIN BATTLE ☂ The most intense, important battles happen in the rain. Verbal spars, punching someone in the guts; it’s all dramatic and climatic. And no one slips.
13. DATE ☂ Aww, don’t let the weather ruin your date! It can be really romantic, being out in the rain, and it’s always fun to go with the flow.
14. A DAY INSIDE ☂ Sometimes, it’s just better to stay inside and enjoy something simple and easy like board games or catching up on TV shows, or maybe the bills.
15. WILD CARD ☂ Was there something I missed? Did you want to roll again or choose your own adventure? Go for it!
Sandy Marko // Spider-man: Reign
And in the shadows something dark lurks, something slimy, wet and dangerous.
...care to join her?]
Re: Sandy Marko // Spider-man: Reign
It looked pretty ugly for the most part.] Friday. What are we looking at?
Laser security system, containing all of Brooklyn, Mr. Stark.
I see THAT.
no subject
Whoa...I never thought I'd see it in real life. That's so cool!
[It was a strained sort of smile, like she was happy for the distraction but wary of how empty the city was. How the shadows in each alley seemed thicker and darker then she remembered them.]
no subject
Kid, this your world? It's a dump. Sorry to say that.
You out here for a reason?
no subject
[She shrugs at his question and glances over her shoulder like maybe the answer was sneaking up on her.]
When I left here thing were falling apart. Monsters everywhere. I guess I wanted to see if things turned out OK or not. I'm guessing not.
[She looks guilty, unable to meet his face as she explains vaguely.]
Unfinished business maybe?
no subject
When you're done with whatever you're done here with, come and crash at my place. Better than sleeping here.
no subject
[The idea of being able to hang out with a not depressed and drunk Tony Stark was tempting. So tempting she almost gave up on why she came here in the first place. But it seemed that wasn't going to happen yet because as the scan probed into the darkened buildings and corners of the area...something began to rise out of the alley.
Glittering teeth.
Steam coming off it's breath.
Lumbering out of the darkness a four legged beast, veins of blackness throbbing on it's flesh where patches of fur gave way to dead skin. It's growl sent a chill down Sandy's spine and her powers activated turning her body to stone.]
Just so we're clear Mr. Stark? That's not normal around here.
no subject
Scanning it now Mr. Stark.
[His helmet went up as he said,] Suppression.
[Missiles launched from his shoulders, firing into the goopy mass beast to detonate against it, exploding into clouds of rapidly solidifying adhesive.]
On a scale of one to kill it are we looking at kid?
no subject
[She wasn't quite as terrified as she had been the first time she encountered the black oozing monster. It lurched and roared in fury trying to avoid the missiles but technology pinned it to the pavement with adhesive...for a moment at least.
The creature continued to struggle digging it's claws into the ground and pulling, it's skin peeling off in it's attempt to escape and resume it's attack. Thankfully the goo seemed to mingle with the adhesive slowing it down and giving Sandy a chance to look for an escape route.
That's when she realized they had more problems.]
Oh crap there's more!
[Sure enough from the darkness of the buildings glowing eyes began to appear. Long spindly tendrils of black ooze started to reach out from the sewer grates as water flowed over them from the rain. Producing a shovel from seemingly nowhere Sandy slashed at one of the tendrils slicing it off before it could finish it's attempt at wrapping around her ankle.]
no subject
Cover your eyes. Flares!
[Shooting out several flares, the entire area erupted into loud bright light as it drove the Symbiotes backwards as Tony locked on and fired several shells into the crowd, covering the area in hardened suppressants.]
Time to go I think, [he said to Sandy.]
no subject
Yeah...yeah let's bail!
[But instead of using the duck to escape back into the multiverse she took off down the road running fast. Faster then a normal girl let alone one made of stone. Probably not faster then Tony though. ]
"Maybe we can hide at your place?"
no subject
[A shimmering portal bloomed open a couple of feet ahead as Tony flew backwards, firing more suppressants backwards into the crowd.]
"Ladies first!" [he shouted in a tone that broke no argument before diving in himself.]
no subject
[Sandy is so shocked by the portal she trips and flies through it head first. Hope there's nothing too delicate on the other side as a stone girl comes tumbling through.
Like most of New York in Sandy's world Stark's home has been ravaged by the infectious alien goo. But perhaps it was sealed off well enough, or perhaps some other high tech defenses have kept the monsters at bay.
Aside from overgrowth and rusted technology however there's no one home.]
no subject
Patching now Mr. Stark.
[Bringing up a few screens, Tony opened up a few consoles and checked the rusted machines before looking over the tech.] Looks like the firewalls are in place, both literally and figuratively. Whoever wanted to leave this here kept it safe. Just needs a little bit of power I think...
no subject
After metahumans became outlawed and the city became obsessed with stopping people from wearing masks I'm guessing Iron Man decided to move out. It all happened when I was still little.
[The stone melts away revealing the flesh and cloth beneath it. She apprehensively pokes at one of the screens trying to sort out what it does, but technology has never been her strong suit even with being tossed from universe to universe.]
Dad used to tell me stories about the superheroes before everything fell apart. I didn't really find out why they all left till later.
no subject
[The screens displayed several reports, files, and other major readings on the symbiotes, as well as different case reports, some of which centered around Spider-Man and his life as Peter Parker.]
Seems like your Iron Man kept tabs on the Parker of this world. Not surprising, since the kid of mine needs a nanny sometimes. Friday you getting this?
All of it Mr. Stark.
Good. Wipe the files when you're done. We can't let anyone else get a hold of it in case someone comes looking. We'll come back with a solution when we're done.
[Turning to Sandy, he asked,] Any more unfinished business we need to take care of?
no subject
His wife died...
[Images of a beautiful redhead, an obituary. Cancer.]
And around then he just stopped being Spider-man.
[Her face was twisted with confused emotions. She felt bad for him having seen enough death in her own short life to last her for the rest of it. But anger as well. The city had needed him, it had needed all of them but for whatever reason he seemed to be important. Without him all the pieces fell into place for the city to change for the worse.]
I don't know. I just...can we really leave it like this?
[But what else could they do. She turned away from the Parker files and over to a map of the city. It took her a few minutes to find her block. From there her eyes followed the streets to the church not too far from where they had just run from.]
no subject
[Tony could always dial up Steve. That phone was still in his pocket.]
For now, we'll make due. Friday, how's that download?
80% Mr. Stark.
Good. Let's keep going.
no subject
[She'd read the comics, she'd seen at least one way her story was supposed to end, with her in pieces on the ground and her father sweeping away to be a hero.]
I think...this might be my fault. But like, if I died to stop all this then I wouldn't have lived to help the people in the last universe I was in and it's like...I'm not smart enough to work out stuff like destiny and alternative timelines and junk.
But even if it's not my fault, I need to fix this somehow. There's gotta be something we can do.
[Maybe not today...but someday.]
no subject
For now, we'll make due.
Azula // ATLA
Perhaps this is a good chance to make some happy rain related memories...or just to make things worse?]
Re: Azula // ATLA
The rain is coming down for the next twenty four hours. I suggest, a umbrella.
[He holds up an umbrella for Azula.]
no subject
TotoroBalloon Spirit holding up the umbrella.]I suppose it will have to do. Escort me somewhere warm and dry.
[She's expecting you to keep holding the umbrella of course.]
no subject
[he checks his maps and says,] There is a bakery with a sit-in area where we may dry off three blocks from here.
Tsuyu Asui // My Hero Academia
Re: Tsuyu Asui // My Hero Academia
Baymax is squeaking in the rain as he is doing today's shopping.
He is carrying groceries in this downpour. He doesn't have a umbrella. Can he get assistance Tsu-chan?]
no subject
He's so cute. ]
Your groceries are going to get wet like that.

PKMN Trainer "Shira"
Drizzle - humidity
[So says the girl who is from Kalos after all, as Serena is back in her old clothing, dressed in a sweater.]
Re: Drizzle - humidity
[Shira couldn't help but giggle a bit.]
At least it's comfortable!
Re: Drizzle - humidity
It is a beautiful region though, I'm glad I decided to come and visit. Too bad I can't come visit all the time. How's things been lately?
Re: Drizzle - humidity
As for things, it's been... slow. I'm honestly thinking of sneaking away to one of the other regions and getting a head start.
Re: Drizzle - humidity
Want to come to Alola? You could undertake the Grand Trials and there's plenty of Pokemon to meet.
Or I could put in a word with you with Clemont if you want to try Kalos.

Crystallis Ra-Lyn
Re: Crystallis Ra-Lyn - Rain - Stuck
And yet, little Platelet was standing under an awning in Limsa, holding up her hands as she stood next to Crystallis.]
This is amazing...! But I don't think I can get this delivery back to the body in time...
