Ah... Princess Celestia and Luna tried to pass the crown and rulership of Equestria onto Twilight all of a sudden and she started Twilighting hard. And then Sombra attacked the Crystal Empire, shattered the Tree of Harmony, enslaved the people of Ponyville into his servants [this was muttered] including me, into his army, and attacked Canterlot, and Twilight and her friends managed to vaporize him and defeat Sombra and free everypony!

And then the Princesses figured it was a bad idea to just foist the job over so suddenly and said they'll wait.

Did I get everything?

[The idea of Princess Twilight ruler of Equestria makes Trixie feel very unwell. She's only saved by the idea that Twilight predictably handled it poorly. She listens to the rest and looks appropriately concerned at the revelations. When the last part happens she blinks confused.]

Wait...so Sombra was evil again? How did that happen?

I guess whatever brought him back made him evil. Again? How many times is this?

[She shrugged a very pony shrug.]

Twilight stopped twilighting halfway through the panic attacks. She tried to make me regent of Ponyville by putting me in charge of the castle and the school. Can you IMAGINE?! ME? Yeah right...
