"Hi! Professor Mako Linden here."

Mako's wearing her labcoat and red glasses, sitting in a lab chair as she addresses the camera.

"I got full access during that big fight, and I figured I'd put out a general call?"

A sort of shrug as she taps a pencil against a stack of papers.

"I have a sideline in making magical girl transformation devices, and right now I'm trying to make a Kamen Rider belt for Amelie Amaryllis-White. The problem is that Kamen Riders have a few technical differences from magical girls, and even though I could technically lean on my Super Sentai experience it's not quite enough to bridge the gap, so I was wondering - are there any Kamen Riders or magitech specialists willing to let me bounce ideas off of them? I can pay in home-cooked meals!"

"When I make magical girl items, it's like 90% magic, usually with some kind of symbolism. This belt is...like 50% magic, I think? I'm trying to figure out a power source that works without just being 'slam a crystal in there, crystals are magic', you know?"

[magical_girl_beast]

"Hmm, that's tricky. Magic crystals can be a good source of power, but if you want it to run off someone's magical core, you have to tie it to their personal aura of magic. And depending on where that magic comes from, it can be a tricky thing." remarked Nitou thoughtfully, folding his arms seconds before taking a bite of the mayoed squid.

"My magic comes from Chimera, a Phantom which I have to feed magic or he'll eat me."

"The crystal thing is...well, Amelie's magic mostly comes from the fact that she was turned into a sapient gemstone that interacts with the world through a construct body? So I'd like to avoid, you know...giving her a transformation item that uses what's basically a non-sapient version of her as a power source."

[magical_girl_beast]

"Yeah I can see where that'll be weird. What other power sources have you tried?" asked Nitou, dumping mayo onto a donut.

[etranger]

"I tried binding Grass-type energy into a matrice of gold alloyed with nickel, but when I hooked it up to the belt for a trial run it produced Kamen Rider Jack Daniels."

[magical_girl_beast]

"I find that if you combine anything that can be made into spirits, it usually makes stuff like that. We've got an unofficial Rider named G who is fueled by wine," replied Nitou.

[etranger]

A pause.

"...no matter how much she likes wine, I'm firmly against copying someone else's gimmick."

[magical_girl_beast]

"Probably for the best." Nitou admitted.

"So I'm guessing you want something unique, that isn't Gem-based, and maybe ties into something magical. Hmm... this is a tough thing because I deal with Phantoms and consuming their power, but lately I get most of my extra power from a box of Helheim Fruit that I get delivered to me by a God every couple of weeks to feed to Chimera."

Nitou folded his arms. "I could probably get you in touch with Rinna. She might know a thing or two about incorporating Core Drivars into your tech."

[etranger]

Nod nod.

"That sounds like it might help! Thank you."

[magical_girl_beast]

"No problem, I've been meaning to visit Go for a while. Sounds like he's been getting into trouble recently."

"I might be able to check in on the Kougami Foundation, but the chance of me finding something that might help there is unlikely, due to Kougami bent on making Core Medals as of late."

[etranger]

There's a pause.

"...that...seems a little dangerous."

[magical_girl_beast]

"Kougami's in deep. He's always been obsessed with the Greeed. Though we've seen what happens when he does, so we're MOSTLY ready for this."

[etranger]

"Let's skip the Kougami Foundation for now."

Mako wants no part of that Core Medal nonsense.

[magical_girl_beast]

"Good plan. Kougami isn't someone who needs to be dealt with."

Nitou takes out his phone and rolls through his contact list. "Uh lets see... Rinna's helpful I said her. Uh, Kuroto's dead, I think and I don't want you getting mixed up with him." He scratched his head a little. "Sento maybe? I can get you his number."

[etranger]

"Send me their contact information, yeah."

A pause.

"...also. You're...not actually eating the Helheim fruit, yeah? Because I have had enough of that nonsense."

[magical_girl_beast]

"I'll get you Sento's number then. He's quirky though, so put up with his nonsense."

"What me? Naw. Even if I did, it wouldn't have effect on me: Chimera would filter out the bad stuff. But I feed it to Chimera. I sort of poke it through the belt buckle."

[etranger]

"Okay, good. Once was bad enough, frankly."
