"Hi! Professor Mako Linden here."

Mako's wearing her labcoat and red glasses, sitting in a lab chair as she addresses the camera.

"I got full access during that big fight, and I figured I'd put out a general call?"

A sort of shrug as she taps a pencil against a stack of papers.

"I have a sideline in making magical girl transformation devices, and right now I'm trying to make a Kamen Rider belt for Amelie Amaryllis-White. The problem is that Kamen Riders have a few technical differences from magical girls, and even though I could technically lean on my Super Sentai experience it's not quite enough to bridge the gap, so I was wondering - are there any Kamen Riders or magitech specialists willing to let me bounce ideas off of them? I can pay in home-cooked meals!"

Keying in from his office, Kengo shows up on his side.

"Professor Utaohshi Kengo. I'm a friend and ally of Kamen Rider Fourze, Gentarou Kisaragi. I maintained his belt and built Fourze II for him. I can help you with your design. Do you have a schematic I can take a look at?"

[etranger]

Blink blink.

"So you're Kengo! Gentarou used to talk about you all the time! Hold on, I think I still have the Zekrom Switch he condensed out of our friendship somewhere around here..."

"He did what now?" Kisaragi what did you do in his absence?

"I guess Kisaragi has been up to a lot in my absence. He did say he went on a few trips around the multiverse every so often."

[etranger]

Mako rolls back into view of the camera, holding what is very obviously a Switch. It's shaped like a black dragon.

"Here it is! Zekrom Switch. Zekrom's a legendary dragon of lightning that lends its power to those that want to build an ideal world. From what I remember of the times Gentarou used it, the Switch is mostly just suited to throwing around horrendously large gobs of electricity."

"Amazing. Kisaragi always manages to impress me wherever he goes. You know he's a teacher now, right? He's molding students into little hims. It's downright terrifying."

Kengo laughed a little. "Send the data over, and I'll send over some ideas when I look over it. What are you having trouble with on the fly?"

[etranger]

There's a cheery little ding! as Mako sends over the base schematics she's worked on, as well as scans of the Zekrom Switch.

"On the tech end, well...I'm life sciences, not an engineer. So for the parts of the Driver that are purely technological, I have no basis in understanding them outside of the fact that I'm smart. I'm also...honestly? I use a certain amount of symbolic representations to make my transformation items, but the symbology of Kamen Rider is completely different from what I'm used to, and it's making the energy matrices come out strange - depending on the context I'm using, the same set of elements will take on radically different forms. I found at least one context that turned the Grass type into a whiskey-themed Kamen Rider."

"Eeeeh? Kamen Rider powers are being built again? Huh, how times change."

This video is coming from a guy who is sitting around a fire, cooking squid that he squirts a bottle of mayo onto it. Liberally. "I can offer some advice if your power source is a little arcane in nature, I'm a Archaeologist with some magical know-how. Nitou Kousuke, Kamen Rider Beast. Nice ta meet you."

"When I make magical girl items, it's like 90% magic, usually with some kind of symbolism. This belt is...like 50% magic, I think? I'm trying to figure out a power source that works without just being 'slam a crystal in there, crystals are magic', you know?"

[magical_girl_beast]

"Hmm, that's tricky. Magic crystals can be a good source of power, but if you want it to run off someone's magical core, you have to tie it to their personal aura of magic. And depending on where that magic comes from, it can be a tricky thing." remarked Nitou thoughtfully, folding his arms seconds before taking a bite of the mayoed squid.

"My magic comes from Chimera, a Phantom which I have to feed magic or he'll eat me."

[etranger]

"The crystal thing is...well, Amelie's magic mostly comes from the fact that she was turned into a sapient gemstone that interacts with the world through a construct body? So I'd like to avoid, you know...giving her a transformation item that uses what's basically a non-sapient version of her as a power source."

[magical_girl_beast]

"Yeah I can see where that'll be weird. What other power sources have you tried?" asked Nitou, dumping mayo onto a donut.

"I'll probably give it a shot. Can't be that hard to figure out, honestly."

There's a long pause.

"...how much experience do you have with magic, exactly?"

Mako is betting very little.

"Enough to know when it's nearly killed me on several occasions. And I've got readings on something called an Infinity Stone, does that help?" replied Tony.

"Magic's not my thing, but I'm flexible."

[etranger]

More considering before she just shrugs.

"Eh, why not. If you're cautious enough to listen when I say something's not a good idea, I can't really ask for more. I'll trade you the Infinity Stone scans for my notes on anchoring psionic matrices in various kinds of alloyed metals?"

Tony held up his hands. "Believe me, I messed with things enough to know when not to mess with things. I'll be careful. Friday, open a link to my private server, and let her in. A deal's a deal, and I'm pretty good at trading those scans and I'll toss in a little more just to make sure we're on the same page."

"Got it boss, anything else you want?"

"Uh, give her access to the Avengers files on the Infinity Stones, all we've got so far. And whatever Strange sent over to us on magic."

Mako beams.

"I make really good curry! And fish, too!"

I'm not exactly a scientist but if you need someone to test your gear I'm REALLY good at that! When I was given my Goku Uniform which was basically like my worlds version of magical girl stuff with tech in it? I adapted to it really well! I was even able to go INSIDE a goku uniform once it was really wild!!!

Mako blinks a few times before smiling.

"Really? Is there anything you could tell me about Goku uniforms, then?"

"You got busy on me while I was away, Mako!"

[etranger]

"I'm not too good at sitting still and waiting, after all."

Mako is just so happy to have you back in her life, Nozomi.

“You really aren’t, huh?”

A small beat.

“Sorry if I went quiet on you.”

[etranger]

"It's fine. I know you're happy, and that's what really matters."

Pause.

"Oh, but, come home sometime? Rose just started walking, and she's super adorable now."

“Ah! You should have called! I would have ran back!”
