Oh, Right, They Can Do That

The video feed show Amelie and Apple waltzing together, one-two-three, one-two-three. Their gems start glowing as they move, and the glow spreads through their entire bodies until the pair of them are just outlines of white light that collapse into each other.

When the light dies down, there’s an entirely different woman there. Her features suggest both Apple and Amelie, her extremely fluffy hair is pulled back into Amelie’s signature twintails, and most noticeable of all - she has four arms and is at least six and a half feet tall. Pulling a chair sized for her out of what is clearly one of Amelie’s hoops, she sits down and smiles directly into the camera.

“Hello! I’m a fusion, my name is Ruby Zoisite. I’m made out of love, ask me anything.”

Ruby places her upper right hand - the one with the Gem - over the Gem on her collarbone.

"I'm not two people, and I'm not one person. I'm an experience."

[snowlillie]

"Oh I see, so it's like... being altogether then," said Lillie thoughtfully. "That's amazing, I guess it's really quite like being a unique being and then being whole and then separate and whole still. If that makes sense."

[onaroll]

"Oui, that is it exactly, ja!"

Oh hey, German. She's combining Amelie's habit of random French with Apple's native language, huh.

[snowlillie]

"Can anyone who isn't a Gem fuse with you?" asked Lillie. "Or is it just Amelie and Apple who can do this?"

Hi, I'm Rimuru Tempest and I would like to know what kind of powers did you display there? What was that hoop?

[Oh that's a new person on the Duck today, a literal slime, which is quickly replaced by a young androgynous (girl? boy?) young person.]

[onaroll]

Ruby blinks.

"They fused. I am a fusion. The hoop is Amelie's power."

She helpfully displays the gem embedded on the back of her upper right hand when she says Amelie's name.

"She can connect two points in space with her hoops."

Awesome. That is really cool. It's a new power I've never seen before.

[Rimuru grins as he/she grins a little as his chair for a moment before asking,] So a Gem? Is that like another state of being? What's that about?

[onaroll]

Ruby makes little circular gestures with her lower hands as she explains.

"Ah, Amelie is a Pink Diamond, Apple is an Amazonite, and I am a Ruby Zoisite, ja? It is...what we are?"

She taps her chin with her upper left hand.

"I am light. The light of love, the light of spirit. My Gem - my self - is a prism through which the light refracts."

[Isn't that like from that overseas show Eddie Omniverse? Rimuru keeps that to himself.]

"Ooooooh that's really quite amazing! I really like that. Well, since you're so nice Miss Ruby, let me tell you who I am fully. My name is Rimuru Tempest, Satoru Mikami, and I am a 37 year old Civil Engineer from Japan! Nice to meet you!"

He bowed.

He doesn't look like a 37 year old. He looks like a 15 year old adorable not-girl-not-boy who could go either way.

[moonoveralola]

Ooooo.

"Does that hurt?"

"Oh no it doesn't hurt! It's rather comfortable being one!"

Ruby smiles, aw it's Moon! "I rather love being one with Apple, and Apple loves being one with Amelie."

"Cooooool..."

Wait. Wait wait wait.

"Can you teach me how to do it?!"

Hmm...

"Lillie said the same thing. Apple doesn't know much about the process, but I am certain Amelie could teach you. With supervision, both you and Amelie could fuse. And then perhaps Lillie could join you two."

[moonoveralola]

"Um. I guess...I might be kind of obvious to you, huh?"

"Ruby Zoisite is it? Interesting. I've never met anyone from the World of Crystal Gems before."

"Tsukasa Kadoya, Destroyer of Worlds. Or rather, Kamen Rider Decade."

He ponders a question before asking, "What's your favorite dessert?"

"Strawberry ice cream! It was the first thing I ever ate!"

"Good choice. It's a step up from plain vanilla, but do you like it with fresh blended strawberries or bought from the supermarket?" asked Tsukasa.

[onaroll]

"Fresh."

Ruby has Opinions About Food. Surprisingly, not all of them are Amelie's!

"Mmmm, expensive tastes, but it can be simple tastes too. Good choices. I think I like you."

He grinned a little. "All right. Scones or cinnamon buns?"

What's it like in your world? What's the world like, I mean. Is it really cool? Warm? Are there crystals everywhere or is it like a normal world?

Ruby taps her chin in thought. There’s a pause as she forms a hoop and holds it in front of the camera.

“Here is the house from outside!”

The view through the hoop is of an actual castle.

"Oh wow! That's a castle! You really live in a castle? That's awesome!"

Sora wonders if he should mind his manners and asks, "Does that make you a princess then?"

[onaroll]

“Apple is the crown princess, Amelie is a grand duchess. I am an experience .”

[sora_no_raito]

"Cooooooool." Said Sora with a grin. "That is amazing."

"I'm Sora, I'm from Destiny Islands by the way. It's my Summer Vacation and all so I guess I'm on the internet now!"
