Amelie demonstrates the gesture she uses to open the Duck’s menu.

Kamala replicated the gesture, and to her surprise, the menu appeared. "That's... great, I've just become part of a MMO story."

"So? What does this Duck want with me?"

“We have conversations, visit other worlds, sometimes we go on pirate adventures.”

Pause to consider.

“Sometimes it makes portals to a small Japanese diner; the chef is actually quite good and the waitress is a very cute girl with lovely horns.”

"So... it's basically a chat room then?" replied Kamala. "But with meet ups, dimension hopping?"

A beat.

"Are there ponies?"

"Of course! My wife and I got married in Equestria, we still visit there on date nights!"

"Amazing. All my fanfiction has just become valid. I am 100% sold on this whole magic internet thing."

Kamala types in a few things and hey that's a lot of My Little Pony. Not the stuff she's usually used to, but a show is a show right?

Amelie can't tell you if that's a bad idea or not, because her tastes in superhero stuff runs more towards Sentai.

So she'll just watch with a pleasantly curious expression.

H-heh...don't worry about that. I'm a big deal in my universe...and apparently a number of others. I spent like a whole week just looking at fan art people have drawn.

[He looks nervously from side to side then leans in to whisper to the camera]

Sometimes it's better then the professionals who draw me.

Superheroes here in my world get fanfic and fanworks drawn of them all the time, so I get your point. I'm actually one of the top writers on BleedingCool actually.

My latest Avengers fanfic rocketed to number one.

Well like, until we finally get our Magical Pony Adventures official crossover with some of the merch, it's all non-canon to us.

Spider-Man and Black Cat. Even if that ship has sailed. And Spider-Man and Captain Marvel.

I suppose so. It seems so odd that the layer of anon is broken down with this internet. Looking back on the history, even back in the old days before it shut down, no one used handles at all.
