01 - Mallow - Poni Island

Well... I can't sleep.

That was, to say the least, exhausting and I can't sleep. Being caught in Tapu Fini's mists was something I didn't want but I really didn't realize I needed. Being able to talk to mom for a final time, to thank her and say goodbye was... really something.

Lillie and Gladion found out their dad was alive.

And Ash's Torracat learned Fire Blast from his dead mentor, Stoutland.

[Mallow leaned forward on the retaining wall, looking out onto the ocean.]

You never appreciate anything till they're gone.

Though... I feel sorry... for Serena. She wanted to see her dad but... she saw the guy who tried to destroy Kalos instead. This guy named Lysandre. She asked him why he tried to do it. He only replied "I don't have the answers, other than, I wanted to."

I guess saving the world comes with its own baggage huh? I should probably go comfort her later on, since Ash went to bed.
