The scene is a line up of people, Devon, Zoey, Ravi, Nate. J is seemingly trying to catch something with his butterfly net in the background as the Commander is dressing them down.

"And Nate," she says, turning to him. "What were you doing out there by yourself?"

"I was uh," said Nate, fumbling. "Just doing some important errands by myself."

"Ah let him have his fun Commander, he's young," said Jin, materializing in and startling everyone involved except for the Commander who barely flinched.

"And who are you? Who let another Avatar be made?" asked the Commander.

"I can explain," said Nate. "This is Jin Masato, our uh... counterpart, from another world. I managed to unlock him from the Jenga Block that the Beast Bot" "Buddyroid" "Buddyroid that showed up a month ago carried that penetrated Grid Battleforce HQ."

"Nice to meet you Commander," said Jin, offering his hand in greeting and she tentatively shook it. "J and I are a matched pair and we won't get in your way. We're here to protect Nate from himself."

"That's good, because he's on the Buddy system from now on." said the Commander, much to Nate's growing expression of "WTF."

"What?! For how long?" demanded Nate.

"Indefinitely. You're too important to our project." Jin winced as J seemed to be able to catch the object he was looking for in the background with his butterfly net. "Mr. Masato, I can assume you're going to look after him?"

"I have to, we've got a vested interest in keeping him alive. In fact, I've got a recommended project for his spare time." said Jin with a maniac grin.

"Interesting. Dismissed."

"So you say you know who I am?" asked Cruise as J drank from the can of Morph-X that the scientists had put into cans for him. Like soda pop. Or beer.

"Yes. You are bike."

Cruise could feel a headache coming on. "Well... yes, I am a bike. But why are you here exactly? You're not a Beast Bot..."

"No. I am Beet J Stag. And I. Am An Egotist."

"He's a Buddyroid," said Nate from the door as the young scientist walked in the door as J drank the Morph-X. "He just... showed up. saying how he was going to get me to reconstruct an Avatar for him."

"That is Jin. And it is to reclaim his data as well." said J.

"I uh... I'm sure I didn't program that in...?" said Nate weakly.
